Fall Berries | A Celebration of Nature & Tradition (made to order 3-5 days processing time)
As the seasons change and the earth prepares for its winter rest, autumn reminds us of the beauty in transformation, the gifts of the land, and the importance of gratitude.
Inspired by the rich colours of wild autumn berries, this pair celebrates the deep connection between nature, creativity, and Indigenous heritage.
For me, as an Abenaki artist, beadwork is more than an art form. It is a way of honouring those who came before us, keeping traditional techniques alive, and carrying a little piece of our culture into the future.
The three luminous mother-of-pearl centres bring a gentle, natural beauty to the design, while the surrounding berries and warm autumn colours symbolize, in my interpretation, abundance, resilience, and the changing cycles of life.
Each tiny bead is placed with intention, creating a piece that carries both the beauty of the season and the spirit of handmade tradition.
